Owner and operator of Irene’s Tap Room, Bonnie Jackson is a native of Phoenix and graduate of Arizona State University.
Since college, she has spent 8 years in the retail leasing sector of commercial real estate, most recently managing the operations of Marcus and Millichap’s Arizona office. In this role, she mastered the controllable budget of a multi-million-dollar office while supervising over 20 employees and 35 real estate professionals. In 2009, Bonnie took an interest in craft beer and began trying everything on the shelves of Phoenix. In August of 2014, an unexpected Instagram endeavor lead Bonnie on a tour through southern California visiting 15 breweries in three days, some of which remain her favorite manufacturers of beer to date. Her experience visiting breweries along with her growing passion for the industry will aid her in managing the operations of Irene’s Tap Room and building an eclectic and inviting tap list. Bonnie spends most (and by most we mean ALL) of her time booking food vendors, bands, planning weekly events, managing her staff, public relations, social media, inventory, and distributor relationships.

Over the last 10 years, her passion for independently-owned craft beer has grown from a hobby to a fully-integrated lifestyle surrounded by individuals working in all facets of the beverage industry throughout the U.S. To Bonnie, the craft beer community is her home, and it is only fitting that she create a place for the local community of Phoenix to enjoy nightly live music and the best beer and wine throughout the United States and abroad.

Aaron Taylor grew up in the Chicago area with a passion for music since childhood.  He realized at an early age that he wanted to be involved in the music business and began helping his older brother’s band with recording and live sound reinforcement. He then went on to graduate from Columbia College in Chicago with a B.A. in Radio and Sound Engineering. Aaron worked in the music scene during the late eighties and early nineties recording music and engineering live sound for local and national acts throughout Chicago.

Aaron was first introduced to craft beer at one of the more notable breweries in Chicago. He traveled the Midwest for business and visited as many breweries and tap rooms as time would permit, enjoying the beer and learning more about the beer industry.  After a visit to a small brewery in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, he fell in love with the culture of independent beer and the idea of owning his own tap room.

Aaron oversees the financial aspects of the company as well as assists bands with sound engineering as needed.  Aaron believes that in order to have a successful tap room, customer interaction and excellent service is key to its success. You can find Aaron behind the bar every Monday and Tuesday.
